This is our final class of semester! As always our class this week will run from 6pm-9pm. If you can’t make it to campus you can attend online.
This week have a guest lecturer, Kim Lewin, Associate Director, Library Services (Client Services & Learning Support) for QUT Library joining us. Kim is a decision maker when it comes to evaluating and purchasing new technologies for staff and student use. The insights that Kim will share in her guest lecture will be really helpful for you final assignment.
We are also going to be using Go Soapbox, an interactive learning tool in the lecture. Go Soapbox is a relatively new tool at QUT in terms of teaching, and will also help you think about whether every technology is useful. It could be described as a game, to play along go to this website and enter the access code 458-728-884. I won’t make the game active until the lecture starts so no need to log in before then. You may have come across Go Soapbox at QUT before, it’s easy to use and you don’t need to sign up for an account.
And finally, in the spirit of fun and emerging technologies I will be bringing along a Makey Makey and a bunch of bananas. Because every final lecture needs some kind of finale.
If you weren’t able to attend the lecture you can access a recording via Ech360 using your QUT username and password.
