I am a part time student at QUT, studying my Masters of Information Technology, majoring in Information Management.
I work full time as the National Manager for an Information Management consulting organisation. I specialise in providing records and information management advice, support and services to all organisations.
Unfortunately I'm no sky-diving, bull riding person, I'm just a pretty normal person :) Right now my life is focused on work, uni and trying to spend as much time with my family as possible.
I hope to learn as much about technology and be exposed to a wider thinking about their application in day to day business.

I have always thought to myself (and openly to others) that I have a horrible memory, if I don’t write something down or give myself a reminder, it’s likely to slip my mind. So when I think about reminiscing, I struggle to remember things like many others do (specifically my brothers and sisters). But on Read more about Forgotten Memories[…]

This week I want to reflect on the comment Mark Zuckerberg made that Privacy is no longer a social norm. To say the internet is massive is what I would say an understatement. At the time I wrote this there were 1,029,029,273 websites within the world wide web and in the short time I watched this website, the number of new websites skyrocketing by 1 new website every 0.2 of a second or 50 new Read more about The internet of lots and lots and lots of things[…]
The question for this week is all about infographics and the love, hate or indifference of them. So what is an infographic? An infographic is a visual representation of information or data presented for quick and easy consumption. This week I felt was an extension of Assignment 1 and the design of a persona and Read more about The love, hate or indifference of infographics[…]
Persona You can click here to see a bigger one 🙂 Reflection When I first read this assignment I thought to myself, “wow, this assignment is simple, I mean how hard could it be to build a persona?”. So my tool of assessment this week was a combination of apps/websites (Fitbit and MyFitnessPal) and a wearable device (Fitbit Charge HR). I chose these as they in the forefront of my mind daily (if not several times a day). I am part of a 12 week challenge and being half way through, my motivation Read more about Is the fitbit all it’s cracked up to be?[…]
Well what do I capture about me… I think the most relative thing at this point in time is my health and fitness. I’m half way through a 12 week challenge with my gym so there is a lot I’m tracking recording and monitoring. So let’s go over what I’m quantifying against: • MyFitnessPal; • Read more about The quantification of me![…]
